We’re getting ready to host a group workout this weekend for a local running club here in Kansas City. The Runner’s Edge group uses our headquarters building as a start/finish point for a group run about once a quarter. After their runs, the runners stop in for water, a bagel, a banana, whatever they need to recharge. They can also take advantage of some of the spa services offered by our in-house spa, Sunlight Day Spa.
At Sunlighten, we work with numerous medical doctors and other health care providers, providing infrared saunas for their practices and clinics, and even for their personal use. The folks we work with in the health care field – even those in traditional medicine – recognize the value in practicing complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) treatments.
The alternative medicine movement is certainly gaining ground globally, among both patients and mainstream medical practitioners. Here’s what Diana had to say:
I am well, thanks to my sauna. I use it every other day, and I healed from Lyme so quickly More >
The Sunlighten team feels an awful lot like a family most days. Which, I guess, makes Connie and Aaron Zack the mom and dad of this eclectic bunch?! I’ll probably get some grief for that statement. Let’s just say they’re like our really cool brother and sister.
Connie Zack, co-owner and Chief Sales Officer of Sunlighten, started the business in a basement in 1999. Her husband and co-founder Aaron Zack is the company’s CEO. Together, the Zacks have led Sunlighten to tremendous growth since those basement days.
Before starting Sunlighten, Connie held positions at Procter & Gamble ranging from Alternative Marketing Manager, More >
